Association, Inc. Minutes of the
Meetings
March
9, 2006

Meeting began at
7:58 p.m.
The following
officers were present: Sue Guthrie (President), Randy
Humphrey (Treasure), Kathie Hockenbury (Secretary), Ed
Ridolph:
Vice President,
19 residents attended the meeting.
Minutes of the
previous meeting February 9th 2006 were read and
accepted: Sandy Mann 1st , Terry Crosby 2nd.
A review of the
treasure's report was presented by Randy Humphrey.
Discussion to clarify
what is included in the renovations. This includes
painting, pressure cleaning, stump grinding, fichus tree
being trimmed, gutter deposit of $220.00. Motion to
accept the report: Tony Basso 1st, Lauren Maiale 2nd.
Tree stumps were
ground out. Total cost was $185.00 for the grinding and
$75.00 for the hauling.
Tree limbs removed
from the tree in the back of the clubhouse on 2/21.
Gutters being
replaced by American Gale, Deposit was sent and work
should begin next week.
The sign to go up at
the entrance of Ohio was being completed by Pete Maiale.
The only piece not finished is the est. 1953. He will
get the letters and numbers for that. Open discussion
regarding how a light could be put up over the sign.
That is being looked into.
Sue Guthrie went to
the courthouse and was able to get the plat book number
and the page and purchased the page of the Florida
Gardens neighborhood. When she took it to show Randy &
Marcia she said she would like to have it framed. At the
meeting Randy and Marcia showed the community and has
already had it framed. It will be hung up in the
clubhouse.
The freezer has never
worked, It is being replaced by Rosners on 3/10.
Jack Doyle had the
floors done. Great job and less money.
Open discussion on
having a Website committee: The committee will be Randy
Humphrey, Sue Guthrie and Jack Doyle. We need to change
the Website to read Florida Gardens Civic Association
instead of HOA. Do we want to have the names of the
Members of the board, residents who paid dues? And what
does it mean to be a member of the Civic Association.
Improvements need to
be made to the storeroom partition. Gary Oliwa will do
it for the cost of the materials, which will be no more
that $220.00 and to advertise in the news letter for 6
months for free. Motion to accept, Sandy Mann 1st,
Patricia Burke 2nd.
The Presidential
plaques need to be updated. Ed Ridolph will take care of
them. 2004 - Bruce Burke, 2005 - Dave Stanley, 2006 -
Sue Guthrie.
Michelle Bradford has
volunteered to clean up the trash on the clubhouse
property on Wednesdays for 1 hour to put the time
towards her scholarship hours.
Mr. Spataro opened a
discussion regarding the community and the things people
are doing such as mechanical work, storing equipment on
there property, etc. Also about street signs and stop
signs missing. It was determined that we would take
pictures, make a list and invite code enforcement to
come into the community to take a look, Similar to what
they did last year.
