which is an increase of $3335.00. The BBQ brought in
$6643.00 and donations from dues $9586.00. We have

Old &
New Business:
Ed
Ridolph reports there is no news on scholarships.
Sue
Guthrie reports that the door sweeps were put in by
Robert Kahant. Nick Shalow poured the top cement for
the marquee. Hopefully the new sign can be set this
weekend.
The
Christmas party will be December 22nd from
11:00 to 1:00 and the parade will follow.
We are in
need of a new back door. Gary will look into it.
We will
check into getting plants to put around the new marquee.
It was
discussed that we need to buy more chairs for the
clubhouse to replace the ones that are broken or
missing. We need to buy 25 chairs. Jack Doyle brought
up the fact that we do not have enough garbage cans for
the clubhouse and it was agreed that we need 2 more
cans.
Committees:
It was
decided to cancel the Chili Cook-off due to the fact
that it was too close to the one being held by the
church and there was not enough time to plan for another
date.
The date
was set for January 19, 2008 for a family pot-luck
social from 12 – 4 pm.
There was
more discussion about whether to charge at the different
social events for the people who have not paid their
dues. At this time it was decided not to charge. We
will see how much it cost the association and address
this again in the future.
The next
entertainment committee meeting will be November 11th
at 7:00 pm at the clubhouse.
Crime
Watch:
There was
discussion on how and when to distribute the new
stickers for the cars. Matt Lacharite will have two
different times to pick up stickers. The first date
will be Sat., November 17th from 10-12 and
Tuesday, November 20th from 8 – 9 pm at the
clubhouse. Mike Musto asked that we have code
enforcement attend the next meeting and that we request
that they come through the neighborhood once a month.
Matt Lacharite brought up the fact that we are now on
citizens patrol and the if you would like to patrol all
you need to do is call and set up a time and date to
drive the patrol car. They are located at Lantana and
Jog in the Home Depot Plaza. The police have stated
that there are three reasons crimes occur: Desire,
Ability, and Opportunity. Just in the past month there
were 7 gas thefts (gas tanks being punctured from
underneath the car), 10 thefts, 5 vandalisms, 15 homes
robbed, and 5 stolen tags. The next crime watch meeting
will be Dec. 13th at 7:00 pm.
